Load-Based Sizing
Capacity and power are matched to the circuits, surge demand and backup duration that matter to your property.
Dubai battery proposals can be compared around backup, evening use and self-consumption under the DEWA route. SolarPanelUAE connects eligible property owners with an installer partner for a technical review.

Capacity and power are matched to the circuits, surge demand and backup duration that matter to your property.
Battery, inverter, solar and grid operation are designed as one coordinated system.
The proposal covers isolation, protection, ventilation, equipment placement and applicable approvals.
Track state of charge, solar production, grid use and backup availability from one system.
A battery in Dubai competes with the grid more than it compensates for a gap in it, and that is worth understanding before spending money on one. Shams Dubai credits exported units at the propertyβs own consumption slab rate and lets credit that goes unused carry forward rather than lapse. The grid is therefore already doing part of the job a battery would otherwise be bought to do.
Because credit rolls over, a Dubai property can bank surplus generated in one season against consumption in another without buying any hardware at all. Whatever value a battery adds has to come from somewhere else: covering an evening peak, keeping nominated circuits alive through an interruption, or changing the shape of the demand a site presents to the network. Exported output up to 1 MW per plot is credited at the siteβs own slab rate, so the gap between exporting a unit and consuming it yourself is narrower than battery marketing tends to imply.
Worth modelling: a load profile with a pronounced evening peak, a requirement to keep particular circuits running, or a short daily window where the site draws hard. Harder to justify: a property whose consumption already follows the sun, or one adding storage on the assumption that exported units would otherwise be lost. In Dubai they would not be. Ask the partner to present the system with and without the battery rather than a single blended figure, since that comparison is where the argument usually resolves itself.
Which circuits does the battery actually cover, and for how long under the load you really run? Is the capacity quoted usable or nominal? What happens at the moment of an interruption, and does anything need to be switched manually? How is storage represented in the Hab Reeh application, and does adding it alter the equipment requirements DEWA applies? How is the warranty expressed β in years, in cycles, or in throughput β and who monitors the system once it is commissioned? Have all of it in writing before you compare proposals.

It can, but the reason has to be different. Because unused credit carries forward rather than lapsing, the grid already performs part of the storage role. Ask the partner to justify the battery on backup, evening load or demand behaviour rather than on rescuing credit that Dubai does not forfeit.
The application runs through DEWA's Hab Reeh platform and both the installer and the equipment have to meet DEWA's current listing requirements. Ask the matched partner how storage is represented in the submission and whether it changes the approval path.
Whole-property backup usually requires far more capacity and a larger inverter than partial backup. Ask the partner to price both, and to state which circuits each option keeps live and for how long under your actual load.
Ask for usable capacity rather than the nameplate figure, the circuits covered, the duration at your real load, and a warranty expressed in both years and cycles. Ask the partner to confirm the equipment meets DEWA's current listing requirements.
It changes when the site consumes its own generation rather than how much it produces, which under a rolling credit arrangement is a shift in timing more than a change in value. Ask the partner to model both cases.
