Load-Based Sizing
Capacity and power are matched to the circuits, surge demand and backup duration that matter to your property.
Ras Al Khaimah battery planning should account for EtihadWE treatment, backup circuits, evening use and existing solar. We connect eligible property owners with an installer partner for a technical review.

Capacity and power are matched to the circuits, surge demand and backup duration that matter to your property.
Battery, inverter, solar and grid operation are designed as one coordinated system.
The proposal covers isolation, protection, ventilation, equipment placement and applicable approvals.
Track state of charge, solar production, grid use and backup availability from one system.
Ras Al Khaimah shares its connection rules with three neighbouring emirates, so the storage question here turns on the same two facts everywhere in the north: EtihadWE reconciles two meters once a month, and credit still standing at the end of the calendar year does not survive it.
One meter records what the property draws from the grid, a second records what the array sends back, and the utility compares the pair monthly. Because a surplus in one month can cancel a shortfall in another, credit only disappears where the year as a whole finishes in the propertyβs favour. That is a much narrower set of properties than the phrase βcredit expires annuallyβ implies. Where a site does end the year in surplus, storage turns generation that would be discarded into consumption the property would otherwise have bought. Where it does not, the battery has to justify itself on backup and on the shape of the load instead, and those are separate arguments that deserve to be priced separately.
It makes sense where the site runs equipment that cannot simply stop, where there is a short daily window of heavy draw, or where an operation pauses for part of the year while the panels keep working. It is harder to defend where annual exports are comfortably absorbed by annual imports, because in that situation nothing was ever at risk of expiry and the battery is being asked to solve a problem the property does not have. The request worth making of any bidder is the annual import-export balance as a figure, not a monthly snapshot and not an assurance.
Does the monthly reconciliation leave the property in surplus once the year closes, and on what basis has that been calculated? Is storage included in the EtihadWE application, and does the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality NOC extend to it? Which circuits are backed up, for how long, and does the changeover require anyone to act? What is the usable capacity as opposed to the nameplate number, how is the warranty expressed, and who monitors the system afterwards? Written answers to each, before any two proposals are compared against each other.

EtihadWE registers imports and exports on separate meters and reconciles them monthly, so a surplus in one period can absorb a shortfall in another. Ask the partner to show how much of the stored energy ends up displacing imports rather than being exported and then offset.
We hold no verified detail on how storage is represented in the Distributed Solar System application. Ask the matched partner how the battery appears in the submission and whether the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality NOC covers it.
That depends entirely on what the nominated circuits draw. Ask the partner to size the battery against your measured load rather than a rule of thumb, and to state the duration each capacity option delivers.
No. The monthly comparison lets one period's surplus absorb another's shortfall, and only what remains unoffset when the calendar year closes is cleared. Ask the partner to show the annual balance rather than a monthly one.
Usable capacity, the specific circuits covered, duration at your measured load, behaviour at the moment of an interruption, warranty in years and cycles, and who carries monitoring responsibility afterwards.
