Data-Led Design

SolarPanelUAE is an independent lead-generation platform. We connect Umm Al Quwain businesses with installer partners for commercial solar assessment, utility coordination and proposal review.

System size is modelled against operating hours, interval demand and usable roof area.
Structural limits, safe access, cable routes and delivery phases are addressed before installation.
The proposal identifies utility submissions, property documents, inspections and connection milestones.
Output, self-consumption and commercial assumptions are presented clearly for like-for-like review.
Umm Al Quwain shares its utility programme with three other northern emirates. The rules a business here works under are the same ones that apply in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah β and so is the capacity pool those emirates draw from. EtihadWEβs Distributed Solar System opened on 17 September 2024, and Umm Al Quwain connections are made on those shared terms.
Emirates Modern Industrial Area and Ahmed Bin Rashid Free Zone account for most of the commercial property we are asked about. Naming them is context, not a conclusion about any individual unit. Roof condition, structural capacity, shading from what surrounds the plot and the shape of the siteβs consumption are what decide suitability, and each of them is checked on site.
The Distributed Solar System has been the route here since 17 September 2024. Imports and exports are logged on separate meters, then reconciled once a month. Export credit left unused when the calendar year closes is forfeited rather than carried into the next. The programme is capped at 20 MW in aggregate and shared first come first served across Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Umm Al Quwain Municipality issues the NOC the process requires, and because EtihadWE has no self-service portal of the kind Dubai operates, the installer partner files the application.
Commercial roofs in Umm Al Quwain are generally more compact than the large logistics sheds common further down the coast, so the conversation usually opens with available load rather than available area. Credit forfeited at year end is the constraint that matters: an array sized past what the site consumes gives away part of its output, and the partner should work from interval consumption data and shift patterns to establish where that line falls. The shared 20 MW envelope is allocated in application order, so capacity is worth confirming before the design is finalised rather than after. Whether the system is purchased or funded under a PPA also changes what the layout is optimised for, and that belongs in the brief from the outset.

EtihadWE logs imports and exports on separate meters and reconciles the two each month. Ask the partner to state how much of the modelled output the site consumes directly, because only that portion and the offset exports carry value.
The Distributed Solar System is limited to 20 MW in aggregate and allocated first come first served across the four emirates it covers, so earlier is safer. Ask the partner to check remaining capacity before a design is committed.
The EtihadWE Distributed Solar System is the connection route across the emirate. Ask the matched partner to confirm the sequence for the specific property, including the Umm Al Quwain Municipality NOC and any free zone authority requirements.
No. Credit still unused when the calendar year closes is cleared. Ask the partner whether the site finishes the year in surplus at all, since most properties absorb their exports within it.
EtihadWE does not offer a mature self-service portal of the kind Dubai runs, so the installer partner files the application. Ask who submits it and what information it depends on.
Tell us about your property and we will route your request to a suitable installer partner.
